I have used Duco cement for binding with my IV kit build as suggested in the Seminoff book. On my first build it worked pretty well and has held up well for a few years. On my current build I cannot seem to get a good bind.... My thought is to use Titebond glue (white glue). I just did a sample and it is holding quite well after 1 1/2 hrs drying time.
