The apatite was ground in a rotary mill and wet screened at 150, 86, 75, 53, and 38 µm. The four narrow size fractions and the minus 38 µm apatite were used in this research. Each of the narrow size fractions of apatite were used to simulate the leaching of one uniform particle size. A chemical analysis of the apatite sample is shown in table 1.
