When applying the lubricant, it is crucial to focus on key areas such as the arbor bearings, elevating screw mechanisms, miter gauge slots, and trunnions. Before applying any lubricant, it is vital to clean these areas thoroughly using a brush or compressed air to remove any debris or residue that may hinder proper functioning.

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073The biggest technical issue with using oil to lube the trunnions is that the top seal is crude and will let water in to contaminate the oil rapidly. If you use a water proof grease this forms a positive barrier to prevent the water that gets past the seal reaching deeper into the trunnion and affecting the lubrication of the trunnion.
WhatsApp: +86 18221755073The TR3 takes grease in the trunnions (only the later one-piece trunnion design is supposed to take oil, the early ones leak) and I sold the Sports 6 before ever reaching that point. (Stags have MacPherson struts, so no trunnions at all.) But at the time, Mercury's P/N 802851 gear oil seemed most appropriate to me.
WhatsApp: +86 18221755073I use a pressure oil-can with 90-grade oil. Shouldn't use grease, it can't flow up the specially-shaped threads. Pump it in until it overflows, and check from time to time. It's a lot easier and cheaper to put oil in regularly than to replace uprights and/or trunnions. Edited November 2, 2014 by Denis247
WhatsApp: +86 18221755073I don't tilt my table saw blade often and, whenever I do, it is nearly seized. I have been using spray graphite on the trunnions. I know, I know, I should work it more and lubricate more but, what kind of lube do other folks use ? Is there one that lasts longer than others ? Thanks.

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073EP90 oil is the recemmended lubricant. Grease can lead to the trunnions running dry. Not sure how often but 3-5000 miles rings a bell. James Whiting used to sell an oil gun for around £10. This combined with a cotton cloth over the nipple made the job a doddle. Steve Se7en-Up! Not going to you know where with you know who in 2004 😬

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073But it seems oil is also wrong, and what I did with the semi-liquid grease may be OK but I presume it was diluted by the oil. In the TR Register we used to debate what lube to use on the trunnions. The TSM said oil, but many people used grease and it seems so long as it's refreshed every year so it doesn't clog up, that works OK.

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073I`ve used grease for 30 years, and never had an issue. I replace all the bushings once when I purchase the car, and lube once, or twice a year with whatever grease is in my gun. I have removed a pair after a few years to paint the a arms, and found the groves full of clean grease, and no sign of wear. Oil is also fine if it does not leak out.
WhatsApp: +86 18221755073I am getting the car road ready, and figured I should lubricate the trunnions and the rear bearings - front with oil, rear with grease. I also used the Sta-Lube in the transmission, too - seemed like it would be okay, and again since I had a little extra (except now the darn thing is leaking since it actually has the right amount of oil in it).

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073In a recent post it stated that the trunnions use 90w gear oil and not grease. The only gl-4 90w lubricant I could find was 75-90w gl-4 gl-5. WhatsApp: +86 18221755073The rotor trunnions are small steel knobs located at the edge of a swing-out rotor and support the centrifuge buckets.
